We have and will make mistakes.........
Jesus said to build your house on a firm foundation lest it fall.
Remember Children say and do what they see and hear.
The Pattern of Good Parenting.........
Children of course unconsciously observe and imitate their parents. This is why the most basic training takes place before the children are able to read or write. Good parenting involves three basic steps.
(1) Understanding the truths of God. (Knowing)
(2) Applying them to our lives as parents. (Modeling)
(3) Instructing our children in God's Word. (Instruction)
Children are a blessing from God.
Many people treat them as if they are anything but a blessing.
They will be more of a blessing if you apply God’s Word in the way you raise them.
Stand on God’s Word for your family. Believe His promises.
Take responsibility for the raising of your own children.
You shape their future!
Eli got in trouble with God because he allowed his sons to do whatever they wanted to do. Undisciplined, untrained children lose out on their inheritance —spiritual and material.
PROV. 30/11: There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.
Prov. 29/15: The rod and reproof (correction) give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.
These next Verses DOES Not Say that God wants you to abuse your child ................ For those who DO NOT believe in whipping your children ...........
Proverbs 23/13
Withhold not discipline from the child; for if you strike and punish him with the [reedlike] rod, he will not die.
14 You shall whip him with the rod and deliver his life from Sheol (HELL)(Hades, the place of the dead).
CHILDREN SHOULD BE RAISED TO BE OBEDIENT AND RESPECTFUL
COLOSSIANS 3:20 Children, obey [your] parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
EPHESIANS 6:1-2 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
EXodus 20/12: Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
CHILDREN NEED TO BE TAUGHT ABOUT GOD AND JESUS
Proverbs 30/15 Every Word of God is Pure. He is a shield to them that put their trust in him.
PROVERBS 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
2 TIMOTHY 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
CHILDREN NEED COMMUNICATION
JAMES 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
CHILDREN NEED BOUNDARIES
1 SAMUEL 3:13 For I have told him that I will judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his sons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not.
God, our Father, gave us rules and boundaries because He loves us and knows that we need them. God made it clear to Samuel that it is not good to raise children with no boundaries.
CHILDREN NEED CORRECTION
PROVERBS 13:24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
PROVERBS 19:18 Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.
PROVERBS 29:15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left [to himself] bringeth his mother to shame.
PROVERBS 22:15 Foolishness [is] bound in the heart of a child; [but] the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.
PROVERBS 29:17 Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul. is not good to raise children with no boundaries.
ALL DONE WITH LOVE
COLOSSIANS 3:21 Fathers, provoke not your children [to anger], lest they be discouraged.
1 CORINTHIANS 13:4-7 Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude.
Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
JOHN 15:12 "This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you."
