Exodus 15:26b AV “for I am the LORD that healeth thee.” Jehovah-Rapha. This literally reads “I am the Lord your healing.” This verb, as used here, means unbroken continuity of action. God is trying to tell us that he is Jehovah our continuous healing. This is very similar to 1Peter 2:24 “by his wound we are healed.”
Isaiah 53/5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
