Lord..help us guard our tongues...watch our words...
Each day and every moment is God's gift to us.
Let's learn to control our tongue and watch what we speak as we walk through this day.
May this be our prayer,,
Psalm 19:14
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer
We speak sharp and hurtful words we speak to those around us so...easily!
Let's ask God to keep us from saying unkind, unloving words to others.
Let our conversations be full of grace.
Colossians 4:6
Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
Let us think before we speak.
Proverbs 15:28
The heart of the righteous weighs its answers,
but the mouth of the wicked gushes evil.
Let's keep our mouths shut when we feel like saying something unkind.
Let's ask God to set a guard at our lips.
Psalm 141:3
Set a guard over my mouth, O LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips.
Sharp criticism, hasty judgements, unloving words affect relationships..
Let's love one another like Christ loved us!
It's just this one life we walk on this surface earth. Let us make a difference not just by all you do,
but by all you say too!
Let us be careful not to speak careless words.
Matthew 12: 36
But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. 37For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned."
Let's ask God to guard our tongue.
Psalm 34:13
keep your tongue from evil and
your lips from speaking lies.
Psalm 39:1
I said, "I will watch my ways and keep my tongue from sin; I will put a muzzle on my mouth as long as the wicked are in my presence."
1 Timothy 4:12
Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
When we are angry and want to yell, let's remember a soft answer will help to cool the situation.
Proverbs 15:1
A gentle answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger.
Let's ask God to help us speak words that heal and not words that hurt.
Proverbs 15:4 The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life,
but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.
Let's always remember that our tongue has the power of life and death.
Proverbs 18:21
The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Have a blessed day....
