Be A Friend Of God

Guard your precious life,

Give not your heart to the world,

Lust will lead you to deceitful course,

Sin will drown your soul,

Passing things will deceive your heart,

Be not a victim of selfishness.



Be a friend of God,

Serve Him with reverence and love,

Walk in the path of faith,

And walk not by sight,

Live by His blessed Word,

Enjoy God’s sufficient grace.



Fear God at all times,

Be valiant, overcome the world,

The Spirit of God is your guide,

He will never depart from you,

Be aware of the power which works in you,

Be a shining victor.



Draw closer to the Lord,

Consecrate your life to Him,

Have fellowship with the Master,

Enjoy His abiding presence,

Take heed of His Word,

And He will guide you through.



Seek enlightening knowledge,

Welcome good understanding,

Forget not to embrace wisdom,

Realize what you have in Christ,

Tokens of God’s deep love,

Sure blessings of genuine friendship.
