The Undefiled,Infallable,uncorrupted,Uncompromised Word Of God

God has chosen to communicate through creation, through special revelation, and through his Word. As we read the Scripture we are to understand this is what God has chosen to say, and it is our responsibility to believe and act on what He says.

He sends His Word to save, heal, and restore. We cannot think of His Word as simply words on a written page, but as it is, God breathed, alive, powerful, and able to change us inwardly. We can and must submit our lives to the Word of God; it is the only foundation that will not fail. Heaven and earth will pass away but His Word will never pass away! We submit our heart to His Word that we might be saved, healed and renewed.

God's Power

As we believe and act on the Word, the power of God is released inwardly to change us. The Scripture describes the effect of his Word on our heart and mind:

Psalm 19:7-11 (NIV) 7 The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. 8 The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. 9 The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous. 10 They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb. 11 By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

The Word of The Lord is Pure

The Word of God is pure in that it is without mixture, it is 100% true, and completely trustworthy. The Word rebuilds us inwardly and becomes our foundation and our source of truth.

Proverbs 30:5 (NLT) 5 Every word of God proves true. He defends all who come to him for protection

Psalm 119:140 (NKJV) 140 Your word is very pure; Therefore Your servant loves it.

The Bible refers to the Word of God as:
Book of the Lord
Book of the Law
Good Word of God
Holy Scriptures
Law of The Lord
Oracles of God
Scriptures of Truth
Sword of the Spirit
Word of God
The Word
Word of Christ
Word of Life
Word of Truth
The Word of God:
It is to read publicly, searched, and expounded.
It is to be written on our heart.
It convicts of sin.
It is not to be changed or added to.
The Word as Nourishment

The Lord says that man does not live by bread only but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. His Word is our food. We receive spiritual nourishment and strength as we eat His words. That inward part of us can be fed and healed only by the Word of God. The Word is empowered by the Holy Spirit and is is designed to produce a desired end. God knows our problems and he already knows the solutions; He know the Spiritual nourishment we need. The Word is unique in that it alone can fix us; it can change us in the way we need to be changed.
He sends His Word to heal us.

Psalm 107:20 (KJV) 20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Isaiah 55:8-11 (NIV) 8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. 9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. 10 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, 11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

The Word perfects (provides a finished product) us.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV) 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works
The Word of God is incorruptible and will abide forever.

The Scripture informs us that the heavens and the earth will pass away, but the Word of the Lord endures forever. Wisdom tells us to give the Word the ruling position in our mind and heart that it deserves.

Mat 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

1 Peter 1:22-25 (KJV) 22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: 23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you
